Halifax, Nova Scotia, September 7, 2005
- Coemergence Inc., a leader in the development of knowledge-based
software, is pleased that its ACIS® solution has been recognized by
KMWorld Magazine as a 2005 "Trend Setting" product. ACIS® allows
companies to gain a strategic advantage over their competitors by
helping to quickly identify and act on industry shifts, patterns and
trends that reveal emerging opportunities and threats, before they are
made public.

After evaluating more than 200 vendors worldwide with over 1200
separate offerings, the KMWorld selection committee, comprised of
editors, industry analysts and knowledge management product users,
ranging from C-level executives to entry-level knowledge workers
selected ACIS® as a winner. Criteria for the award included usability,
flexibility, adoption rate and total cost of ownership. While some
vendors were recognized for their collection of offerings, some were
noted for a compelling new version of an existing product.

"The KMWorld award has furthered our positioning in the knowledge
management marketplace. We are delighted with the positive feedback on
the recent release of ACIS® 5.0 from customers, editors, analysts and
partners," said Coemergence Director of Marketing and Communications,
Nadine Tanner. "ACIS® addresses some unique challenges faced by growth
related knowledge professionals by providing an innovative means to
capture human intelligence and provide a new level of competitive
advantage."

ACIS® captures the human or "water-cooler" intelligence that exists in
the discussions people have with clients, partners, suppliers, peers,
consultants and others in the marketplace. Once entered into ACIS®, this
intelligence is woven together with structured and unstructured
information. The solution's real-time alerting functionality
distributes relevant information to the people who need to know it,
providing them with the immediate insights and strategic early warning
signals necessary in today's rapidly changing business and industry
environments.

"It's been a prosperous year of growth and development for
Coemergence," says Hugh McKellar, Editor in chief, KMWorld. "ACIS®'s new
features have increased its flexibility and enhanced its design and
usability. That, along with Coemergence's growing customer base led to
ACIS®'s special recognition."

Earlier this year, Coemergence gained recognition by Branham Group as one of Canada's "Top IT Up and Comers."

Coemergence's customers comprise a growing number of Fortune 1000
companies including ConocoPhillips, De Beers, Gold Fields, Newmont
Mining and Occidental Petroleum. ACIS® is currently being adapted for
aerospace and defense, telecommunications, pharma and biotech, medical
devices, financial services and other highly competitive industry
sectors.

Coemergence will be exhibiting at the InfoX, Business Intelligence
Conference in New York, New York September 27-28, 2005 and at the
KMWorld & Intranets Conference in San Jose, California November
